Residue Wax

Iran residue wax is the leftover substance that remains after the process of making paraffin wax from slack wax is complete. It has a brown color and contains a high amount of oil (around 50% oil content). residue wax is the final product that remains after pressing and removing color from slack wax, and it is derived from the production of semi-refined paraffin wax.

Foots oil, also known as residue wax, is a byproduct obtained during the manufacturing process of paraffin wax. It is produced through the deoiling or sweating of slack wax. Foots oil is commonly used in industries such as textile, leather, rubber, petroleum jelly, and white oil manufacturing.

Residue wax is a mixture of oil and slack wax. It is derived from the production of semi-refined paraffin wax, with approximately 60% of the result coming from 100% of the slacks provided by oil refineries.

Application of Residue Wax

Foots oil finds application in various products including adhesives, sealants, anti-freeze products, coatings, fillers, putties, plasters, modeling clay, finger paints, fertilizers, fuels, non-metal surface treatment products, inks and toners, leather treatment products, lubricants and greases, plant protection products, polishes and waxes, and textile treatment products and dyes.

There is a possibility of the substance being released into the environment through indoor and outdoor use as a processing aid, as well as in closed systems with minimal release such as cooling liquids in refrigerators and oil-based electric heaters, hydraulic liquids in automotive suspension, and lubricants in motor oil and brake fluids.

Packing of Residue Wax

Residue wax is typically packed in new steel drums. However, to reduce costs, reconditioned or second-hand drums can be used instead. Since foots oil is not a cosmetic or pharmaceutical-grade material like petroleum jelly, second-hand drums are suitable for packaging.

ISO tanks and flexitanks are not used for foots oil due to its waxy nature and its oil content of 40 to 50%. It is not economically viable to use these luxury packaging options for this type of wax.
